We took the girls to American Girl for a pre-start to school treat and had brunch with our dear friends, Dale & Doug, the girls consider them their "other" set of grandparents! What fun we had, G-daddy got Sophie her 1st Twin baby and I got her the stroller to push her babies around...Madalyn and Loraly each got to pick out a school outfit for themselves and then another outfit for their Amerian Girl! We plan on taking them back in October for a Halloween treat!
It has been a long time---we have had rather an uneventful summer...but a very HOT summer! Our neighbors home caught fire early summer, we are so grateful they both made it out, they lost everything but their insurance was good and they are in the process of rebuilding and doing a lot of shopping to fill the new house back up.
We made 2 trips to Newhope Arkansas to see my Aunt Jean and Uncle Eddie, had a great time both times!
Lindsay and Mark moved to Midlothian the first of the summer and they are all settled into their new house now awaiting the arrival of Reese Prestyn, lovingly named after her G-daddy....it has been an adjustment with them out of town but for the most part, a good adjustment, as we are close enough to go see them about any time we want to. Madalyn started 3rd grade and Loraly started Kindegarten.
Madalyn stayed a week with me to attend an art camp and a slumber party then Loraly stayed a few days later in the summer---we had such a good time with theone on one visits!
Kaitlyn is in 8th grade, she went to Arkansas with us then stayed a few times this summer also.
Cam and his new wife Amber are doing very good, Cam got a teaching job in Grand Prarie teaching Computer Animation at the 9th grade Center--- Amber is a 2nd grade teacher there in Grand Prarie also.
Mike got a wonderful job promotion and is a Sr.Manager now--he really loves his job and the company has been very good to us!
We also got a new addition to our family, Bella, a little yorkie---she does keep me company, somedays we think, "what were we thinking, the kids are all on their own and we got a puppy?' But she is a good puppy, we are in the process of training her, most days she is great, then there are days when it is very frustrating! But the girls all love her and we wanted that!
I plan on staying with Lindsay for a week or so when little Reese get here to help with the older girls, getting them ready for school and getting them to school and some loving on Sophie and lots of holding Reese!
