A Day With Debbie

I took Paul, Madalyn, & Loraly to play this afternoon at Kidz Zone, they all had a good time...afterwards, we drove thru and got snow cones, yummy!
Madalyn went to dance, Leigh got here around 3:45 to pick up Paul, Loraly wanted to watch "Dora" so bad, but it was not on...maybe tomorrow.

On Monday, Madalyn & Loraly & I went to Baylor to pick up Whit, Terrill was in a meeting and Leigh was in Ft.Worth with Paul doing his last radiation treatment... we were right across the street from the Bear pit, the kids loved seeing the bear. It was a beautiful day. After that we met Abbies mom(Madalyns new friend) at McDs---was fun, I enjoyed chatting with Melissa while the kids played.
I went over to Jewells late yesterday and took her some chicken spaghetti for lunch today, hope she enjoys it and John gets well soon, right now, he is in Dallas at Zale Lipsey with some problems stemming from his cancer.

This afternoon when the girls were leaving, Lindsay always carries Loraly, I carry Madalyn. A almost daily ritual. Well, as I was carrying Madalyn out, Loraly got down. ran back to me and hugged my leg, was such a sweet moment for me! A kodak moment, a moment I will not forget!

Last night I was talking to Amber, she was telling me that Kaitlyns birth-father had not sent child support in 3 weeks---we have not heard anything from him in almost 3 yrs other than the child support. Come to find out, he was not working here in Waco anymore, was back in reserves in Ft.Worth---planning on re-enlisting. Amber asked if he had thought anymore about relinquishing his parental rights---he responded by saying 'Just send me the papers and I will get them signed"
SO sad, he is missing out on a beautiful little girls life, what joy she brings everyone around her!
And then the hurt he has caused this family, court appearances, making Kaitlyn go with him all the while she cried and begged us to not make her go...our wondering and worrying about her the week-ends she was with him.
I wish we could contact the Judge and let him see how this has turned out, he did not care about her life then, wonder what he would think now?
And then above all else, the Judge told us that we had to be hospitable to him when he was at our home? Go Figure...wonder what the Judge would do if it were his daughter and grand-daughter?

On Thursday for lunch, I took Madalyn and Loraly to McDs...while there a little girl named Callie came to eat lunch along with her Grandmother. Well, the 3 girls took a liking to each other and played so hard! Callie lives in Arlington but spends 3 days in Robinson with her Grandmother. What fun the girls had! We stayed there for 2 hours playing!

we went to the HOT Fair last night, just on a whim...was really fun tho. We watched a karioke show that was actually good, then on to see the hypmotist, so funny! After walking thru the animal exhibit we went to see Jerry Jeff Walker in concert, he sang Redneck Mama then Mr Bo Jangles, the other songs after that, I did not recognize. We did not get home till almost 11:30--so I am running low today. Was a fun night!

thought I would give this blog thing a trial, write my feelings and what happens every day here. Its afternoon, Lindsay is home sick with a sinus infection, Loraly is with her, Madalyn is here playing at ma's house. I watched Whit today, Paul is doing radiation this week, he came over and played with Madalyn yesterday, they had lots of fun together!
I got a case of the blahs today, don't know why, well, maybe I do---wondering about Cams dilema with Alumed and then this is the week daddy died 3 yrs ago, on the 15th,just a hard day to get thru.
Mike & I may just get in the car on Saturday and GO, no plans anywhere, just go...we need the time together. Our 31 anniversary was yesterday, we celebrated by going to eat at On The Border.Didn't buy gifts, as just got this new house and new furniture and my new computer,enough buying for awhile!
