A sleep-over

Last night, Madalyn and Loraly had a sleep-over at Ma and G-daddies---mommy was very exhausted from the night before as Loraly has had an ear infection and Sophie has not been feeling herself either---so, after snacks and a very long bubble bath I finally got them to bed around 10, way past Madalyns bedtime for a school night---they were jumping on the bed watching a mirror as they jumped---Loraly shouted out "Look at me, I am the Statue of Libberdy""
I then got them laid down and we were talking, I ask them what was something they really would like to do someday---Madalyn said, "go to California and New York"--Loraly on the other hand said, " I want to go to Disney, ride my favorite ride then see my favorite show and then see all the princesses--and then said, and make all my dreams come true!"
Soon, sweet little princesses, soon!

Last Tuesday, Madalyns 1st grade class put on the play "Jack and the Beanstalk"---Madalyn got the play the cowbell and did a great job--we are so proud of you!!!

One Day

one of these days he will get one of his girls to watch a race and root for Jeff Gordon with him, looks like Sophie is in training!

This Sunday, Mike and I traveled to Kerrville where my sister and her family lives. Brandon is her oldest son, he enlisted in the Army Reserves a few years ago right after his HS graduation---he got the word last week that it was time to go to Iraq early June--he left Monday night to go to San Antonio for intensive training before Iraq..he is a Black Hawk crew chief, mainly medivac evacuation, so this will be a very long and dangerous time for Brandon...
Mike designed the artwork on Brandons cake and pic, the Blackhawk pics were from a friend at work, he scanned them and made a collage then we had WalMart scan the paper and make the cake, it really turned out awesome!
We enjoyed getting to see him and seeing some friends of the family, also getting to meet his sister Tiffanys new fiance... they plan on waiting till Brandon gets back before they get married.
Godspeed Brandon!

Spring Break 08

For Madalyns Spring Break and Loralys Spring Break from MDO---Lindsay and I took them to Carrollton to our good friends to stay overnight on Sunday--Doug and Dale got to meet Sophie, play with the girls, we took them to Chuckie E Cheese for pizza, played ping pong..then on Monday all the girls went to the American Girl Store at the Galleria, Loraly has wanted a doll since Madalyn got hers on her birthday--so, Loraly picked out Snowflake Mia, she got pjs, and a dog named Coconut and dog house---sunglasses and a necklace...Miss Dale got her and Madalyn and Snowflake Mia and Maddy(Madalyns baby) matching tee-shirts and Mommy got both the girls a book and Loraly and Snowflake Mia caps...we got to have a special lunch in the Bistro complete with a special cake and little gift bags from Ma...We had such a good day together, so many smiles as we shopped, just what Ma loves best! Madalyn also got Maddy some pjs and sunglasses and a necklace too!
The girls were amazed going under the parking garage, esp. the little spiral road going down! I was amazed that I drove it too! And the look on Loralys face when she saw that big red American Girl Store!

Feb23

We took Madalyn to Dallas today for her birthday present---The "American Girl" store at the Galleria mall. She decided upon a "Look Like Me" doll with brown eyes and brown hair...she had to have several outfits for her new baby and a house for her puppy, Coconut also! The new babies name is Maddie. Ma and G-daddy had so much fun watching Madalyn as she carefully picked out her baby and things to go along with the baby.Madalyn looked so pretty, all dressed up in her new dress she had got for Sophies Baby Dedication a few weeks ago, she was such a sweet princess for the day! After we finished up at the store we went to Arlington and met Cam for lunch then on to Kopperl to watch Kaitlyn play her last BB game this year. They won too! We had such a fun special day celebrating with Madalyn! Madalyn will turn 7 on March 1 and her mommy and daddy are planning a big surprise party for her at Pappa Rollos...
We are thinking that maybe one day Spring break we will go back to the "American Girl "store and let Loraly pick out a new baby and eat lunch at the Bistro....

Today our Church had a Baby Dedication for all the new babies born this year, a special prayer and dedication was said for the babies and their families, the moms all recieved flowers, and a sweet video played of the babies and their families..thank you Lindsay for including your dad and I in yours, it really meant a lot to both of us!
We wanted some pics of the actual event but our camera did not cooperate, so we went after lunch to the Arboretum and took a few...

Well, after a day of more celebrating Paul, I recieved my penny from heaven, at "On the Border"--actually Mike noticed it before me, under a bench while waiting on a table....but I bent down and thought immediatley of Paul...thank you Paul for teaching us all about how to fully live life!

We were privaledged to be asked today to go along with the Saxons and some of their sweet friends to the cemetary where Paul is buried and pay our respects today. What a beautiful family legacy there, a farm right behind the cemetary where Terrills father grew up and a church/school house where he also attended growing up. We left some cookies with the #24 and race flags on them at Pauls gravesite...

On the way home from Pauls celebration last night....

"If Paul was not in heaven, he would of had fun today at Celebration Day (at school) and his party tonight."

Grandchildren are the crown of the aged.
And the glory of children is their father.

Proverbs 17:6

We just got home from Leigh and Terrills---we had a birthday party for Paul---first we all met at Fuddruckers, one of his favorite places to eat, then to the Saxons house, complete with his favorite things..."Nacho Libre", Uno, a Jimmy Johnson cake that he had asked for last year, skittles, sour patch kids, Dr.Pepper, and Madalyn of course!
It was nice getting to visit with some of the Saxons special friends, Miss Jenn and her sweet family, Eric and Darrell and his daughter Gabriella...

Paul, I really miss you, I miss your sweet bald head and that smile! I know that if given the chance you would rather stay there in heaven than come back here cause there is no comparison! Buddy, we sure miss you! I looked and looked today everytime we went places for a penny but never found one, so maybe you might throw one out my way tomorrow! I love those pennies from heaven.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL
